Hospital
in the Home (HITH) Services
The hospital in the home (HITH) is a Victorian Government initiative
which provides hospital level care to patients in their own homes.
A total of 45 public hospitals across the state offer HITH services
to their patients. The types of treatments administered at home include
intravenous antibiotics, post-surgical care, non-surgical care, non-surgical
wound management and chemotherapy.
