Implementation of Common Chart of Accounts

Which hospitals are affected?
From the 1st July 2004 all metropolitan hospitals and five major rural hospitals (Ballarat, Barwon, Bendigo, La Trobe and Goulburn Valley) are required to report in accordance with the common chart of accounts.

What about other hospitals, what will they be required to do?
The Department will be discussing with each of the remaining hospitals an implementation program to bring all hospitals under the common chart of accounts over the next 18 months
