Annual Reporting Guidelines - Health Services 2010/11
This page provides information to Victorian health services about their obligations regarding annual reports.
These guidelines have been prepared to meet the requirements of
- the Financial Management Act 1994 (the Act)
- Section 4.2 of the Standing Directions of the Minister for Finance under the Act, and
- Financial Reporting Directions and the Australian Health Care Agreement.
Your attention is drawn to the Printing and Publication section (pages 9 and 10) regarding items to focus on when publishing your Annual Report. The guidelines illustrate minimum disclosure requirements. If additional disclosures aid readers in gaining a better understanding of the Agency, then these should be included in the Annual Report in consultation with your Auditor-General's agent.
The 2010-11 guidelines are substantially unchanged from the 2009-10 guidelines.

To assist Agencies with completing the 2010/11 annual financial statements, an excel version of the pro-forma tables embedded in the guidelines is also provided.
The timetable below is supplied to provide details to assist agencies with their planning for DH information requests for the 2010/11 Financial Report for the State of Victoria (AFR).
Please note common errors found in Annual Reports which are detailed in the Appendix provided to avoid recurrence of such errors.
