New Technology Grant Program 2002 - 03
Information for Applicants
The New Technology Grant Program for 2002-03 will comprise:
- New Grant funding;
- A second year of funding (if applied for) for items funded in 2001-02
and not covered by casemix in 2002 -03; and
- Extended (beyond a 2nd year) funding of items previously supported
through this Program which are not incorporated into casemix and/or
are not funded by the Commonwealth. The amount for each Hospital/Health
Service will be proportional to their 2001-02 rollover
allocation and will provided as a block payment. Submissions
are not required.
This year, co-payments for AAA stents and Atrial Septal

case, these items will no longer be funded under the New Technology grant.
Additionally, trastuzumab (Herceptin) is now eligible for Commonwealth
funding and will also not be funded within the New Technology grant
program.
