Launched in March 2001, Designing Care is the first Statewide program offering health and ambulance services the opportunity to actively involve patients, carers and clinicians in redesigning processes across the whole health system. The Designing Care program aims to:

• Improve patients experiences of the Victorian health care system
• Increase knowledge of process improvement and capability to apply this knowledge to continually improve patient's experiences
