These include the changing epidemiology of HIV infection in Australia, testing for HIV antibodies, counselling people at risk of HIV infection and the legal, social and ethical issues raised for medical practitioners by HIV/AIDS. It devotes particular attention to the legal requirements of the Health Act 1958 that regulates many areas of medical practice relating to HIV infection.
