Appointments to Class A cemetery trusts - Information for applicants

The Minister for Health, the Hon Daniel Andrews MP, seeks expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced persons for appointment to the two newly proposed major metropolitan cemetery trusts and the new Mildura cemetery trust

Those interested must have a commitment to excellence in public administration and the skills and expertise to contribute to the governance of a major cemetery trust organisation and the ability to represent the views of the community.

The chairperson and members of Class A cemetery trusts will be accountable for ensuring that the cemeteries under their control:

  • are effective and efficiently managed
  • provide high quality service delivery
  • meets the needs of the community
  • meets financial and non-financial legislative requirements.

Application pack

All applicants should provide a copy of their full CV and in addition must complete the following government forms:

Applicants can nominate on the application form their preference(s) for appointment to either or both of the two newly proposed metropolitan Class A Cemetery Trusts and/or the Mildura Cemetery Trust.

Public sector employees

Applicants who are public sector employees will also be required to provide a letter from their employee. Please provide this letter in the format outlined in:

Lodgement of application pack

The closing date for applications is c.o.b 1 October 2009.

*Please note: Anderson Creek Cemetery Trust does not have a website.
