Swimming pools & spasOn 1 January 2010, the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (PHWA) and the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2009 (the Regulations) commenced.Part 6 of the Regulations outlines the minimum requirements pool operators need to comply with to minimise the risk of the transmission of infectious diseases' via the swimming pool water. The regulations are available at www.legislation.vic.gov.au. A Bulletin has been developed that outlines the requirements of the regulations.
