Program Governance
Board of Health Information Systems
The Board of Health Information Systems provides governance to the implementation of the HealthSMART strategy. It meets every two months to provide direction on the implementation and development of the HealthSMART strategic program to ensure that it achieves:
- optimal business benefit,
- effective commercial arrangements and
- robust technical outcomes.
Membership
The Board of Health Information Systems comprises personnel from the health sector and government representing the various interests of stakeholders and interested parties.

Governance
HealthSMART governance structure - May 2009 (PDF,17kb) - groups, including steering committees and product planning groups, report through to the Board, which in turn reports to ministers and Government.
The program governance for the HealthSMART program has evolved since the Project’s inception and reflects the closure of the Resource Management Systems portfolio.
