Subject: Emergency ambulance services price increase
Purpose: To advise hospitals and the ambulance services of an emergency ambulance service price increase effective 19 January 2009
The Secretary has issued a direction to ambulance services in respect to the emergency transport fee that they charge. Effective from 19 January 2009, Ambulance Victoria emergency fee for rural and metropolitan areas will increase by 3%.
This price increase will apply to all public and private hospitals. A similar price increase has also been applied to transports from the community, TAC, WorkCover and the Department of Veteran Affairs emergency attendances and transports.
