When you contact us the Assessment Officer will:

• Listen
• Give information
• Help you to take your complaint to the service provider
• Refer your complaint to the Health Services Commissioner for further action if necessary
• Put you in touch with other people who can help if needed.

Food complaints

Do you have a complaint about food handling? Contact the local council in the area where the premise is located. Most councils have an Environmental Health Officer, or duty officer, to handle these complaints. Go to the Victorian Municipal Association of Victoria site for council contact details.

If the council is unable to help you, phone the Victorian Department ofHealth, Public Health Divsion, Food Safety Hotline, on 1300 364 352 for assistance.
