Department releases its 2010-11 annual report

On Thursday 27 October, the Department of Health tabled its annual report in Parliament in accordance with the provisions of the Financial Management Act.

The report provides an overview of the business and financial activity of the department over the 2010–11 financial year and highlights the department’s key achievements.

The year saw significant changes for the health system and Victoria as a whole. Since its inception in 2009, the department has consolidated its role as manager of Victoria’s health system, including our hospitals and health services, mental health services and importantly, the state’s preventative health system.

A significant part of the department’s work in the 2010–11 financial year has been in planning, including supporting the development of the Victorian Health Priorities Framework 2012–2022 and Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2011­–2015.
