What kind of nurse will you be?

The Department of Health launched a new nurse recruitment and retention advertising campaign utilising television, print, web and social media on Sunday 29 August.
With the most successful nursing and midwifery workforce strategy in Australia over the past 10 years, the department is keen to maintain the momentum and to continue to attract and keep nurses and midwives in the public sector.
There is demand for staff to meet planned growth, as well as areas where the workforce challenges remain - for example some rural, aged care and mental health services that have difficulty recruiting.
The campaign promotes the diversity of nursing as a profession and aims to engage both young people considering a career in nursing, and those who may have left the profession but would consider returning.
The tag line for the campaign, 'what kind of nurse will you be', reinforces the message that nursing is more varied then ever before.
The television commercials encourage people to visit the Nursing in Victoria website, where they can learn more about a career in nursing.
