Child nutritionThe Health Development Section has targeted families with young children as a priority in promoting healthy eating in part by developing resources for families and for professionals. The Community Care Division of the Department of Human Services includes the Maternal and Child Health Service. This site details services and resources available to all Victorian families with children 0 to 6 years seeking advice on parenting, nutrition, child development and behaviour.
National Child Nutrition ProgramThe Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing (DHAC) has funded nutrition projects throughout Australia under the National Child Nutrition Program. Many of these projects are delivered through collaborative partnerships with local organisations to develop innovative strategies which improve the nutrition of pregnant women and children. |
