Registration

A private hospital or day procedure centre cannot commence or continue operation and admission of patients unless the premises are registered.

New registrations

New private hospitals and day procedure centres must be registered before the facility can commence operation and admission of patients.

An application kit has been developed to assist potential proprietors to prepare an application for registration. The application kit includes a list of information and documents that must be submitted with an application.

Renewals

The proprietor of a registered private hospital or day procedure centre must apply for the renewal of registration before the expiry of the current registration. The application for renewal of registration is usually made three months before the expiry of the current registration. Applications made within the last three months of registration incur an additional fee.
