National
Rural Health Alliance
The National Rural Health Alliance is the peak national body working to improve the health of Australians living in rural and remote areas. The NRHA is comprised of twenty-three Member Bodies, each of which is a national organisation in its own right. The twenty-three represent both the consumers of health services and the health professionals providing service to non-metropolitan areas.

Victorian
Universities Rural Health Consortium (VURHC)
The Victorian Universities Rural Health Consortium (VURHC) is made up of five university partners and the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO), all of which are involved in Rural Health education and research:

Victorian Aboriginal
Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO)
VACCHO represent the collective of all Aboriginal community controlled health
organisations around Victoria. Each of our members is an Aboriginal community
controlled organisation: most are multi functional community organisations
with health as a key part of their responsibility and some come from groups
offering full health services. Each member of VACCHO is independent and are
represented by their own spokesperson sent by their local community. Every
state has a similar set-up and together we form the National
Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) to operate at the national level. VACCHO is not a direct service provider.
The Rural Workforce
Agency, Victoria (RWAV)
The Rural Workforce Agency, Victoria provides support for the recruitment and retention of rural general practitioners in Victoria.
They lead the development and support of sustainable general practice and other associated health services in rural Victoria, to meet community needs.
Their website provides access to relevant information, assistance and support for those seeking to practice, or already practicing medicine in rural Victoria.
The
Victorian Healthcare Association (VHA)
The Victorian Healthcare Association (VHA) represents the interests of the public health care sector in Victoria. Its members include public hospitals, health services and community health services. The VHA run a number of rural specific programs and events including Rural Health Week, held late May each year.
Aged and Community Care Victoria (ACCV)
Aged & Community Care Victoria (ACCV) is the peak body for aged care in Victoria, acting as the united voice for providers and other organisations associated with aged and community care.
