The Department of Health (the department) has developed a comprehensive strategy aimed at enhancing the capacity and quality of clinical education across Victoria. Within this context, in May 2008 the department commissioned the Best Practice Clinical Learning Environments (BPCLE) project, to examine the nature of successful clinical placements and to develop a model of best practice.
