Use the National Relay Service

The National Relay ServiceExternal Link is available for people who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing or have a speech/communication difficulty and find it hard speaking with people who use a phone. It operates 24/7 across Australia, except for video relay calls. All calls are confidential.

Video Relay Call Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 7am to 6pm (AEST)
  • Saturday: 8am to 12pm
  • Not available on national public holidays

How to use the service

Step 1. Register

Register for the service via the NRS App or the NRS websiteExternal Link . For assistance, text the NRS Helpdesk at 0416 001 350.

Step 2. Contact NRS

Choose your preferred channel from the options listed on the Numbers and links for NRS usersExternal Link page.

Step 3. Provide our number

When prompted, provide our phone number 1300 366 356
