Local Health Service Network Consultations

The latest updates on consultation activities to establish the Local Health Service Networks.

Every person in Victoria should be able to access the right care, in the right place, at the right time – wherever they live.

That's why Local Health Service Networks (Networks) were established across Victoria from 1 July 2025. These Networks are responsible for supporting coordinated care that meets the needs of Victorian communities.

To support the establishment and implementation of Local Health Service Networks, a range of consultation activities were undertaken in 2024 and continue into 2025.

  • Consultation with health service leaders on Network groupings took place from November to December 2024.
  • Consultation with health service and sector leaders on Network priorities and governance arrangements took place in early 2025.
  • Consultation with the healthcare workforce and community on their experience of healthcare took place from April to June 2025.

We sought insights from community members and the healthcare workforce to help inform how hospitals work together to provide care as a Network. The survey was hosted on the Victorian Government’s online consultation platform, Engage Victoria, from 22 April to 8 June 2025.

The survey was an opportunity for the community to share their experience of healthcare in Victoria in the last three years. The data and insights captured through the survey will help inform how Networks will deliver healthcare within their regions.
