Births defects in Victoria 2005-2006

The Victorian Perinatal Data Collection Unit (VPDCU), established under the Health Act66, 1958, operates under the aegis of the Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity (CCOPMM). One of the fundamental purposes of the VPDCU was the establishment and maintenance of a Victorian Birth Defects Register (VBDR). The ongoing maintenance of the VBDR is enshrined in the legislation pertaining to CCOPMM and is an ongoing function of CCOPMM.
