The Guidelines to scope and implement new allied health assistant roles assist health and community services across Victoria to identify the need for, and to introduce, new and amended AHA roles within their workforce.
The guidelines are structured into a seven-step package, progressing from scoping through to implementation and evaluation and provide assistance with the identification of AHA-attributable tasks and subsequently, the quantification of the time these tasks may currently take, in order to assess AHA need.
These guidelines should be read in conjunction with the Supervision and delegation framework for allied health assistants.
