Private health funds
Private health insurance policies differ in their coverage of emergency ambulance and non-emergency patient transport. Patients need to check with their insurance fund for the type of cover most suited to them.
Concession benefits
Eligible Victorians holding a valid Pensioner Concession or Health Care Card currently receive free clinically necessary transport. This may not apply when being transported from a private healthcare facility.
