The manufacturer of Sublocade®, Indivior, has advised that Sublocade® will be discontinued in Australia after 31 December 2026. This decision is not related to safety or efficacy concerns.
People currently receiving Sublocade® should continue their treatment as prescribed and speak with their prescriber, pharmacist or treatment team about ongoing care and treatment options. The Victorian Department of Health is developing resources to support transition planning and continuity of care. These resources will be added to this page when available.
Below are some key dates regarding ordering and final PBS claims
- Stock will remain available and final orders will be accepted until 11 December 2026 to support patient care.
- PBS claims for Sublocade may be made until 31 December 2026, subject to applicable PBS requirements.
Indivior have advised that any units of Sublocade® purchased by during the transition period will be eligible for a full refund, subject to the applicable return process.
