Practice support for frontline workers in health and human services
Working with clients who have complex needs as a result of using ice can increase stress on frontline staff.
It is important for worker safety, morale and confidence that they receive ongoing support and guidance from within their organisation. It helps frontline workers to deliver effective, safe and culturally appropriate services.
The department is providing training for health and human services supervisors, team leaders and other workers who want to improve their skills to provide supervision and other forms of practice support.
The Monash Centre for Scholarship in Health Education (MCSHE) will deliver this training to health and human services workforces employed in mainstream organisations and the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO) deliver this training the health and human services workforce employed in Aboriginal community controlled services.
