Developmental dysplasia of the hip education

This animated 3D online education tool - Developmental dysphasia of the hip educationExternal Link - is designed for health professionals who screen for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH).

The tool focuses on the anatomy of the hip and the pathology of DDH, and outlines how to perform a successful examination of the infant hip.

A new section which describes the safe wrapping of infants to reduce the risk of DDH has been included.

This resource is also available as a DVD.

Approach to a limping child

This education module focuses on the key diagnostic and management strategies in evaluating the limping child.

This module was developed in collaboration with the specialist paediatric orthopaedic services: Barwon Health, Monash Children’s, the Royal Children’s Hospital and Western Health.

This module is RACGP Category 2 attracting 4 QI&CPD points.

Common paediatric orthopaedic conditions

This education module focuses on the key diagnostic and management strategies for common paediatric orthopaedic conditions such as spondylolysis and anterior knee pain.

This module was developed in collaboration with the specialist paediatric orthopaedic services: Barwon Health, Monash Children’s, the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and Western Health.

This module is RACGP Category 2 attracting 4 QI&CPD points.
